VIRTUAL MAZE DAY AUGUST 2020
FUSD is starting the 2020-2021 school year in Distance Learning. We will use the Illuminate Parent Portal to facilitate the collection of MAZE DAY Forms.

REQUIRED: ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR A MASK
Complete Online Maze on Home Connection Parent Portal prior to your scheduled Maze day.
For the maze to run smoothly and quickly, please come at your assigned day and time only.
You will start at the verification station where you will receive your class schedule.
Don’t forget to bring a backpack or bag to carry home your books.

Chromebooks will be provided to students who do not have consistent access to a computer at home. You must complete JFKHS Chromebook Request prior to maze day to pick up it that day. |

MAZE DAY FORMS:
All MAZE Day Forms will be accessed through the Illuminate Parent Portal. If you have not already created your Parent portal account, please do so to access our current MAZE forms.
An email was sent to all parents/caregivers who have not yet created their Parent Portal account. This email contains your specific access key.

Through the Parent Portal, You will provide the information normally collected on the Emergency Card, Emergency Release form, Title 1 Compact, Student Use of Technology and Acknowledgement of Annual Notice of Rights form. The Free and Reduced Lunch Application, will be accessible from the Parent Portal via a Link to the MAZE DAY webpage.
Parents who do not have access to the internet can request help from Mrs. Kiester at 510.657.4070 x27306.
The Parent Portal Forms will be accessible on August 12, 2020. The Parent Portal Forms must be completed for your student to gain access to the student schedule on Friday, August 21, 2020.

- Parking Permit: No Parking Permits will be sold at this time. Permits will go on sale when we resume on-site classes

MAZE DAY AND ASB
Welcome Titans
Due to the current situation Maze Day Packets are not being sold.
At this time many events are postponed until further notice. Once we know when events are happening we will send out schoolloop notifications on how to purchase tickets and items.
We will also be posting updates to the school website.
Class shirts and Senior sweatshirts will be available to purchase at a later date. Check schoolloop and the school for those dates
Once we have resumed on campus learning parking passes and locks will be available for purchase through the business office. Locks will also be available through the student store once we return to campus.

To all students and parents,
Due to the pandemic, athletics at John F. Kennedy High School have been adjusted. The CIF and NCS came out with the decision to move all sports to 2 seasons of participation. The two seasons are as follows:
Fall Sports- Official Practices Begin December 14, 2020

Spring Season- Official Practices Begin February 22, 2021

In addition to the adjustment of the season, off season conditioning will begin starting October 2020. We are working with the district to determine proper protocol in order to hold these workouts.
